Challenge
Rewards are an important part of any community platform. They drive engagement and motivate members to take part in surveys and activities.
At SMG Ignite Communities, rewards have always played an important role. Until now, they were limited to PayPal micropayments, which made it challenging to encourage participation in countries in which PayPal is banned or restricted.
What is it?
In January, the Product team integrated the Tremendous API into SMG Ignite Communities.
Tremendous is a global digital rewards and incentives platform that enables fast, scalable payouts to community members. It supports micropayments, gift cards, and donations, significantly expanding how we can reward participants.
For micropayments, Tremendous enables Virtual Visa cards across 216 markets, solving the challenge of PayPal restrictions in previously unsupported regions.
Tremendous supports over 2,400 reward options, ranging from widely used vouchers like Amazon to more specific, client-related gift cards. This allows DIY clients to encourage participants to spend their incentives directly within client stores.

- All markets unlocked. Rewards can now be sent to participants across 216 global markets, removing previous geographic limitations.
- New types of rewards. Access to 2,400+ gift card options, giving clients far more flexibility in how they incentivise participation.
- Improved fraud prevention. Tremendous adds an additional layer to our existing fraud prevention measures, increasing reward security and reliability.

What is it?
We’re excited to provide Android users with a faster, more reliable, and easier-to-use experience with our new native Android app.
Android users will be able to do all the same things in the updated app as they did before, but with a better overall experience.
